  • The Pottery Lane Performance Space (PLPS) is a newly designed, state-of-the-art multifunctional venue, now complete and ready to host its first performance (Walkthrough Video) . Situated in the heart of Lane Cove, this vibrant addition aims to foster creativity, collaboration, and cultural enrichment for the community.

    Equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technology, the space features a high-definition digital screen, cinema-quality projection equipment, programmable stage lighting, and partially tiered seating for up to 135 people.

    These versatile features make it ideal for a wide variety of events, including theatre productions, workshops, presentations, music performances, cabaret, cinematic screenings, and more.

    Other types of events
    • For Smaller meetings, such as those for Strata and similar groups, the front of the room or the stage area can be used for meeting setups. However, please note there will be no support provided with the room setup, which typically takes around 2-3 hours. The hirer will be responsible for managing the setup and ensuring the room is restored to its original configuration at the end of the hire period. Additionally, setup time will need to be factored into the hire costs.
    • The space is not suitable for large standing events, as the theatre seating will remain in place and cannot be moved.
    • Large meetings will be better in the Living and Learning Centre .

    The venue has a commercial kitchen adjoining and catering available with exclusive rights to Bern the Chef Pty Ltd, telephone 0402 092 574, info@bernthechef.com.au.

    The per hour cost to hire this facility is from $79 as per Council’s Fees and Charges document which can be found on the Popular Documents page of our website. Commercial rates apply for businesses.

    If you require the use of our AV system, please contact our Bookings Team, and they will provide you with the AV system handout (pdf), which contains all of the information you need to operate the AV system. Please see our website for additional details on AV requirements and Balcony limits.
  • Please be informed that the Park View Room does not have full kitchen facilities. While you may store your food if the room is not in use, please note that there are no prepping, cooking, or heating facilities available.

    Only available to book after 6:00pm and on weekends.
